Regarding the SCJP exam

Hi Deepak,

This is Keerthi Kumar, new joiner to javaranch. Last saturday (i.e. on 18-Apr-09) I appeared for the scjp 6 exam here in bangalore. But I was unable to clear the exam by just 2 questions. But the exam was so damn easy and wat not at all to my expectaions
48 questions i got it from the --- itself. I really did wel n expected to score above 80%.. but i donno where went wrong
Now again I need to appear for the same

Can you please give me some suggestions on how to prepare for the exam??

Part of passing regularly is just understanding the test environment. Don't be hard on yourself. Seriously, the next time around you'll be much more comfortable.

I know what you've gone through. I've seen masters in the language make the simplest errors, only because they weren't comfortable with the format.

Practice makes perfect!

Thanks a lot for your valuable reply. But still im confused where i went wrong in my first attempt of the SCJp exam .. so was little frustrated So now I have started preparing again.. but as you said.. now Im feeling more comfortable But could you please guide me the way do i need to prepare for the drag n drop questions. As per my previous experience i think Im lagging a lot in that.. so kindly guide me....

Many ppl think they really did well, but the outcome is not what they expected. This is so true with a hard and tricky exam like SCJP. So I recommend you prepare for it thoroughly. Try doing a lot of mock exams and when you constanly score above 70% that's the time you think to take the real exam. Good luck on your preparation!
