Hi,

We are using Oracle10g, hibernate, Jonas app server, tomcat and struts in our application.
Connection pool is established through hibernate c3p0 algorithm.

The problem is when we try to Switch[restart] Database, it forces to restart application.

Please help me out to fix this problem.

Thnks,
Sandeep

How often do you switch databases? Do you have a lot of them? Maybe you could use a connection pool per database?

Hi Jeanne ,

Thanks for your reply.

pooling mechanism is already in place.

Once a week doesn't sound often to restart. If you already have one pool per database, this wouldn't be necessary. You could have the app point to a different pool at runtime.
