Hi,

I am trying to make a simple hello world web service.

I am getting an error below:

i copied 5 jars into the server's library

spring.jar
jdom-1.0.jar
spring-ws-core-1.0-m1.jar
spring-oxm-1.0-m1.jar
spring-ws-security-1.0-m1.jar

On which jar is this org.springframework.ws.transport.http.MessageDispa tcherServlet anyway?

It is not on any of the 5 jars above. (spring-ws-core-1.0-m1.jar has that package but not that class.)

Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

I checked with 1.0.4 and it was in spring-ws-core-1.0.4.jar. If you're trying to make a simple hello world, maybe it should be a good idea to download the latest version (1.5.6).

Christophe,

Thanks for the suggestion.

I used the spring-ws-1.5.6-with-dependencies.zip, and downloaded the author's (code that goes with book) latest Poker-WS.zip, instead of the sia2_code.zip, and I am now able to view the wsdl (generated, DynamicWsdl11Definition) at the browser.

(Spring in action 2nd ed.)

The jars that my application looked for are:

spring-ws-1.5.6-all.jar
spring-beans-2.5.6.jar
jdom-1.0.jar
spring-webmvc-2.5.6.jar
spring-context-2.5.6.jar
spring-web-2.5.6.jar
spring-core-2.5.6.jar
castor-1.2.jar
