Android OS on platforms other than mobile phones...

(It is believed) Android OS will be able to run on platforms other than mobile phones. I have heard news about running Android on netbooks. Can Android run on VOIP phones, desktop PCs and other hardware? Is there a group or community dedicated to such a thing?

What would it take to actually get Android working on ..say a netbook or a VOIP phone. I dont even know how the OS is loaded on the ADP or G1 but still am a little curious ..!?
