How is the market in U.S.?

I am planning to go U.S. for M.S. by September. I want to know how is the job market in U.S.? Will i be able to recover my living expenses at least?

Students are generally not allowed to work in the USA; are you asking about the time after graduation?

Interesting. I didn't know that it was possible for students to get jobs (as part of training).

Anyway, I think it depends on where in the US. Some places, like the bay area in CA, is at 10+ percent unemployment, so it is really bad right now. In New York, where I am, I would consider it as not a good time to look for a job -- although I do have a few friends who seems to have no problems finding them.

You are finishing your studies after 2 years from September this year and by that time the economy should do better than it is now.

Is the US job market better compared to Jan,Feb months of this year..Has the recovery started...Some I-Banks have reported positive Q1 results..

Can people working in US give their thoughts...?

There is too much variation depending on what part of the country you are in.

In central Texas a contractor I had to let go in February just started a new job this week. Not as bad as the dotcom bust days but that's still terrible for a technology professional, and this guy was very good at what he does.
