Hi!

It seems that the new curriculum for SCEA (310-052):
http://www.sun.com/training/catalog/courses/CX-310-052.xml

Has a number of changes in comparison to its predecessor.

Has anyone analysed the specific changes?

Here are a couple of things I've noticed:
- No UML
- Web Services
- SOA
- Explain how you would design a Java EE application to repeatedly measure critical non-functional requirements and outline a standard process with specific strategies to refactor that application to improve on the results of the measurements.

Thanks /Dave

Good afternoon!

There is no more internationalization or protocols. Now, we will also find EJB 3/JPA, J2EE Design Pattern and JSF in the exam.

The goals of a training department aren't always the same as that of the certification department. Who knows when the curriculum for the course was put together?

A good instructor of this course will make sure all of the basics are covered. Perhaps the goal of the curriculum was to focus on the most needed areas of training? Perhaps it focussed on what topics were easiest for instructors to deliver. :P

In the end, it's the SCEA objectives that are the final word. You may need several training resources to cover them all.
