Could some one please thro some examples for accessing a URL with username and password through java?

NOTE: I know the username and password

example www.yahoomail.com

What, exactly, do you mean by "access" - programmatically from within Java code? In that case I'd advise to use a library like jWebUnit (or HtmlUnit on which it's based).
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
