That's WAY cool!
When I started teaching guitar (which was a long time ago, but I was already getting "old" then), I was hoping to be exposed to new music through my students. But I was disappointed by how little they seemed to be really into it -- at least compared to when I was their age. I still get the same impression today talking to kids at the
coffee shops. My theory was that kids today have so many other things competing for their attention: Internet (chat, social networking, shopping, blogging, etc.), cell phones, texting, 24-hour TV with hundreds of channels, DVDs, gaming... I concluded that music just doesn't play the same role it did for earlier generations.
So it's cool to hear about this station.
And I like to think I'm still marginally hip, but I hadn't heard of Lykke Li, so maybe you're cutting edge here!
