In response to Bear's Java Love showing his counter top, I thought I would post a pic of my master bathroom

The pics are a little dated since I just ripped out that half round window a month ago and put in a new half round. I still have to paint the molding or I would take new photos.

The half round window looks out into an enclosed cortyard area where I built a pond over the summer. (The clear plastic on the siding is covering the half round window I had to replace, previous owners did not seal a crack in the trim right so it rotted the entire window frame)

When I bought the house, every room was painted pink/peach color. My friend's called my house the womb. Imagine walking into an open room with 17 foot high ceilings and it is all pink! I have to find old pics of it.

I still have pink tile in my kitchen! Drives me insane!

I have nothing against white, and nothing against tile. It's just that your kitchen is a forced coexistence of colors and materials, while Eric's bathroom is effortless harmony.

I find "forced coexistence" a meaningless buzzterm. Are you in management?

You also haven't seen the big picture of the kitchen -- and no, I don't have one handy. But despite what you may think, the black and the white are a classic combination that looks fabulous and will never go out of style.

But this topic is about Eric's bathroom...
