given that I have a cert for SCJP5.0, is it just matter of choice if I choose to take full exam(CX-310-065) or upgrade exam(CX-310-066) ?

The outcome is no difference (if I pass)?

And yes it is a matter of choice, but most would prefer the upgrade exam.

If you already are SCJP certified (for any version), you just need to do the upgrade exam, it's not necessary to do the full exam. The certificate that you get from either the upgrade or the full exam is exactly the same.
