how can i implement release mode in hibernate 2.1.7c ?  RSS feed

we have a problem with hibernate 2 under spring and jta under jboss, we found out by specifiying release_mode=after_statment but that only applies to hibernate3, is there a way to implement it manually?

You could get the source code for Hibenrate 3, see how they've done it and copy it?! Or you could upgrade your Hibernate version.

upgrading to hibernate 3 is in the works, however we fear of some side effects.

The changes between 2 and 3 are big. Have a read (if you haven't already) of the migration wiki entry.
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
