inter portlet communication based on JSR 286 specifications

Hi,

I am kind of sure but want to confirm - the two approaches mentioned in this article are applicable only when you are creating JSR 168 portlets, is that right? - they are not for Java Page Flow portlets per se as JPF portlet itself doesn't follow any universal specification (JSR 168) at the first place...

Let me know your thoughts.

Indeed, certainly with regards to JSF. The JSF portlet really won't have any hooks into the Portlet API at all, be it JSR168 or JSR286. The PortletBridge that makes the JSF to Portal work happen might hook in, but that's all abstracted out of the JSF coding becase, well, us programmers aren't smart enough to understand it.
