Hi guys,

Please forgive me if this is not the appropriated place to ask the question below.

If so, please moderators redirect me to the correct one.

I need to create a powerpoint presentation containing some comparassion pictures and charts among Java and other technologies such as .Net, PHP, Could Fusion, Ruby and so on.

Do you know guys some useful web sites where I can find self-explained pictures and graphs showing these comparassions ? Specially regarding performance, securitym, easy of use, tools and so on ?

Thanks in Advance.
Edisandro.

You really will have one problem - trying to be objective...

Here is an (old) link: Comparing .NET with Java [Barry Cornelius] - however this is compairing against an old version of Java - so some of the differences are no longer true.

You compairing Java against the other languages? Or are you going to consider that Java is used within the J2EE / J2ME frameworks to provide so much that other environments do not. If you wish to read a book to evaluate J2EE then I would recomend: Expert One-on-One J2EE Design and Development

Oh Peter you are correct ! In my question above there are so many knowledge areas that for sure will be a problem trying to be objective

Well, let's close our presentation scope for web application and forgive J2ME or any other environments.

Basically, I'm striving to focus my presentation on web environments and a very little related issues such as security, performance and extensibility.

Now it's better, isn't ?

Also thanks a lot for the web site you provided. Even though it's an old link, I could extract some useful things and create a well done slide.

I'd appreciate it if you pronounced my name correctly. Pinhead, with a silent "H". Petite ad:
