Hi All,

Actually i'm using NetBeans IDE to test small JSP custom tag.
When i add below line in the jsp

<%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" prefix="c"%>

I got the following error(Compliation error).

The absolute uri:http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core cannot be resolved either in web.xml or the jar files deployed with this application.

From the error i am able to identify that there is something missing in the web.xml, but i don't know what is exactly missing.

Please help me in resolving above.

Thanks in Advance.

there is no need of entry in web.xml. most probably the jar file is missing in the lib folder.

Check out this FAQ1 and this FAQ2

Please be sure to take the time to compose descriptive subjects for your posts; read this for more information.

A title such as "getting error" is not helpful. What would happen if all posts had such a title?

Please go back and change your post to add a more meaningful subject by clicking the button on your post.
