No offense mate, but you dont give us alot of information..

Halfway through a rather long post I realised: why should I bother? your not even going to give us any information.

Example: average budget.. for who - Paris Hilton? I'd like a Jaguar S-Type.

Keeping it that vague shows you are not all that enthusiastic about this gift? In that case, yeah, a 'fcuk' or 'I am p*rnstar!' t-shirt or a pair of denims or a couple of ticket to a match / movie / gig / event etc should make an 'average' impression.

There's plenty of 'must have' gadgets for men of that age - including PSPs, DSLite, Wii, new games, mobile phones etc too - it all depends on what he is into to be honest. No point in buying the most expensive camera as a gift if he is mad into say, oil painting!

I assume you know the person you are buying the gift for. That means you have a much better chance of knowing what this SPECIFIC person wants than a bunch of strangers, many of whom live in a completly different culture than yours.

If the boy is really fashionable, then gift him a pair cool shoes

I think boys like videogames: I've heard that Nintendo Wii is a good gift.

You could also give him some magazines, like Playboy, and adult movies (Buttman). I think he'll like

You need to provide enough information on what's an average budget and relationship?

Depending on your relationship gift something that convey your feelings.

Since you know the person personally try to see where his interest lies, if he likes reading gift him a good book, if he is into clothes gift him a shoe or a shirt maybe sunglasses, if he likes electronics get him some latest toy...a pda, a cell phone so on and so forth.

Ofcourse you can throw in a lap dance at a local strip joint...he'll not complain

Yep, nothing says "fulfilling an objectionable obligation" quite like a gift certificate given to an adult!
