MultiSpanCellTableExample and addRow() - Missing Row  RSS feed

I am creating a JTable that allows for spanning rows and columns by using the code at this site: http://www.java2s.com/Code/Java/Swing-Components/MultiSpanCellTableExample.htm

But, when I do a simple



at the bottom of the MultiSpanCellTableExample constructor, the row doesn't appear in the table. There appears to be two blank rows that aren't painted and if I click on the first blank row, I get the following stack trace error:



The last referenced line in my code is the MultiSpanCellTableUI line 85 which is:




For the life of me, I can't figure out why the new row isn't showing up. If anyone knows of this problem and how to fix it, I would be very thankful.

m having the same problem can you please tell me how it solved because the links provided in it are no linger available.
 
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
