Hi Everyone,

I run a java desktop application that has the multithread run inside, I open it and not use it for a period of time (go out for lunch) about 30 minutes. When I come back,
the application is hangup. I wonder if the multithread run inside the application that cause the JVM running out of the memory.

Anyone please help me about this.

Thanks,
Hien

Do you get any runtime errors like that?

I don't think in a properly designed application that will happen. But sometimes some threads may be blocked if waiting for I/O or something, but that would not lead the application to hang.

Thread by themselves don't use a lot of memory. It sounds more like there is a memory leak. What is the application doing if there's no user operating its GUI? Meaning, what are the threads doing that are still working?

Sleep the thread for a while when it has nothing to do.
