Hi All,

I have a few doubts about JSTL.
1. Is there a common tag present in JSTL which can accept all queries like update, select, insert, delete instead of individual tags ?
2. Is there anything in JSTL through which we can get the query execution time, means the time taken to get the result or execute the query in databse. ?
3. Is there any way to trim a value/word from the input query and comare it is equl or not with a value, if equal do this else do that. like c:test blah blah

Not many people use the SQL tags of the JSTL as they violate the precepts of MVC. (Even the Specification warns not to use them for anything other than prototyping).

You'll have much more flexibility if you move your queries into proper model classes.

Thanks Bear that was helpful.

By the way I got a solution for #3 Q to do it. Posting for future user reference.

Like above I am able to check for a string

But still am waiting for my #1 and #2 questions clarification.

Any suggestions friends!!!
