Multiple instances of excel

Hi,
We used HttpServletResponse to redirect our excel document.
But when we open a second file it's opened it in the first instance. But we need to open another instance.

It is posible.

This is untimately going to be a decision the operating system makes. You can use JavaScript to launch a new browser window and make your request for the excel document there. If the client has a browser that can embed excel (e.g. IE) you will get excel embedded in the new browser window, htough ultimately it will still be the same instance of excel.

If your client is not using IE you will just have to rely on whatever behaviour the OS supplies for excel documents.
