Hello All,

I am not sure this is right forum to post this question. Any help would be appreciated

I am now working on java swings for 4 years. I would like to move to j2ee platform.

Now I am building and analyzing the geronimo source code...

I need some help from you all where to start with J2EE...

Thanks,
Suresh

SCWCD 1.4

Well, apparently you already started.

J2EE (called just Java EE or JEE these days) is a broad collection of APIs that are not in the core API. These include:
- servlets and JSPs
- JavaMail
- EJBs (Enterprise Java Beans)
- JMS (Java Messaging Service)
- anything else found at http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/api/

Now you already know servlets and JSPs, so I'd check out JavaMail next. After that, perhaps going for the SCBCD exam is an option, that will teach you a lot about EJBs.

Thanks Rob,

I have also missed out a point. I appeared for SCEA part 1 exam got 45%, have a understanding of design patterns and basic J2EE patterns.

So as per your suggestion I l start looking into JavaMail

Cheers
