Hello All
I am trying to secure a web service. What could be the best approach for implementing web services security. Installing server certificates where web services are deployed or providing message level security by embedding digital signatures. Any info in this regard is apprecicated.
thanks,
Ravi Narala

What exactly do you mean by "secure a WS" - Authentiation? Encryption? Signing? The normal way to accomplish any of these is to use the WS-Security standard, which is supported by all major SOAP toolkits.

Sorry. I meant message level security and transport layer security.

Transport layer would imply doing something on the HTTP level - that's really not how WS security is done any more. WS-Security does everything at the message level.
