how to start Websphere 5.0 server

Hi,
I am new to Webphere completely.
I want to know how can we start the WAS 5.0 in windows and unix.
Like in tomcat we have D:/tomcat5.5/bin/startup.bat
and when we click on startup.bat ..server get started.
So there definately some thing like startup.bat in webphere which will
cause the WAS to get started.
And how to start it on Unix also.

please help me for this.Thanks in advance.

I believe it's called startServer.bat in the bin directory.
