When I am using Eclipse IDE, can I avail the Spring framework ? Or is the Spring compatible with Netbeans only?

There is something called Spring IDE... it is not an IDE, infact like the name denotes, but an eclipse plugin for spring.

I actually do all of my Spring development in Eclipse, and even some in Rational Application Developer. Spring is development tool agnostic, although some of the plugins available for IRAD were a little wanting.

I noticed that Markus' Spring Web Flow 2 book has content on developer integration with Eclipse:

Support for developers
*Build systems
*Ant
*Maven
*IDE
*Eclipse and Spring IDE
*NetBean

The book Spring Web Flow 2 Web Development has a good chapter dedicated to environment and IDE.

There is Spring IDE and Spring Source Tool Suite available for Eclipse
