I'm using Web Services Explorer in Eclipse to test my web service but I get the following error:

The SOAP response failed schema validation. Please switch to the source view for the SOAP response in XML format.
Required white space was missing. Error processing resource

Here's my SOAP request:

- <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:q0="http://www.csapi.org/schema/parlayx/terminal_location/notification/v2_2/local" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
- <soapenv:Body>
- <q0:locationNotification>
<q0:correlator>corr</q0:correlator>
- <q0:data>
<address>tel:659556864</address>
<reportStatus>Retrieved</reportStatus>
</q0:data>
<q0:criteria>Entering</q0:criteria>
</q0:locationNotification>
</soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>

Can someone help? Is there something wrong with my WSDL file?

How come the address and reportStatus elements are not qualified with the q0 namespace?

is that the cause of the problem? The XML string was constructed by the code stubs by JAXWS wsgen

i solved the problem - I didn't specify the correct endpoint URL in my WSDL.. so when the client was trying to consume my webservice, the app server was throwing the default HTML page.. thanks for reading this post
