Because I am trying to create a tree that uses xml as a data source and am having a hell of a time getting it to work. So I played around with web expressions 2, and ina matter of minutes have a tree using an xml data source working perfectly. It is very annoying that I cant get the richfaces tree to work, but what else can I do, Ive posted a good 10 topics(XMl forums) on this subject and I am still where I started.

So is this possible? Or do the two not mix?

If no, does anyone know of a tree creator I can use with jsf other than richfaces tree, that is as user friendly as asp tree?

The only way you could do this I think is using an iframe for your tree component, whose source would be an application deployed on ISS and putting this iframe in your JSF application. Not a nice solution; you would have no shared session state, no shared security context, two different servers to deploy and maintain etc. And even worse if your only driver is not being able to get the richfaces tree to work. I'd spend a little more time trying to find out where you are going wrong with the richfaces tree (since we know this component does work).

Post some more questions here. Someone should be able to spot where you are going wrong.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
