why an application needs separate XML parser?

XML parser is used to read and modify its element.
lot of XML parser available in market open source and paid ,then why an application needs separate XML parser??

Back before JAXP was thorougly integrated into the standard library, people experimented with a bunch of different parsers from a variety of sources.

Perhaps you have run into an application created several years ago?

If thats not what you are trying to describe, you should try again.
