Since I can't really stand not to drink a cup a day, I've tried not to add sugar for the past weeks. How about yours?
Black -- meaning nothing. No milk. No Sugar. etc.... (sorry, for the qualification of what "black" is, but some coffee shops have an opinion that "black" means only no milk).
I used to love instant coffee from Nescafe etc .. but once I landed in Bangalore, I stick to filtered coffee other wise my preference is ginger tea (again with little sugar)

Diversity. I have been drinking in that mixture since childhood. and it tastes well (atleast to me.)
If I am really tired and need the pick me up I will put some sugar and creamer in.
If I am drinking QUALITY coffee, or not overly tired, I take it black.
If I am in Starbucks, I must be waiting for someone else. I mean seriously.......
I don't know about anyone else, but I think IHOP (if you've never heard of it, it is a restaraunt) has some of the best coffee I've ever had from a dining establisment. It is VERY delicious.

The way I've heard it explained is that your brain has natural inhibitors that prevent your synapses from firing too fast. Caffeine inhibits the inhibitors.
