Well if your goal requires you to get some certification-based-qualifications, you should go for SCWCD. But taking SCWCD is not really needed to work on web development. There are lot of Java programmers working successfully without getting those Sun certifications. IMO you should target on what you need to approach your goal (and it should be more specific). But remember that a programmer who is owning SCJP certificate is 'typically' treated as 'professional' than a programmer who doesn't have it. This is same as to the SCWCD certification for the web development. But this evaluation may be overridden by your experiences and practical knowledge.

Thanks for your advice.
Could you refer me some book to start J2EE work as a beginner.
Whether there is any other good reference than HFSJ??

I can recommend you to use HFSJ (Head First Servlets & JSP) book, it is the best book for a beginner. Since SCWCD is mainly targeting on Servlets and JSPs, you can also use other SCWCD Books even though you are not going to take the exam.
