Time: September 2050
1. Time machine is not inveted by September 2050 else I would have come back in time and given a couple of suggestions to myself
OR
2. I don't live till 2050

A little play on movies and television

. Your seminars on how Maria Magdalena could have used a time machine to save the Christ has brought you into troubles with the inquisition. Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition. You've been burnt alive, thus 2.
. You've dialed the wrong date, ended in 1955, making a foul of yourself by wearing a life jacket. There's no Emmett Brown in town, thus no cming back.
. In 2050, what you thought was a time machine, was in fact a telepod. You've turned into a fly, and suffered an horrible death.

John Titor
Here's a guy who was "sent back to 1975 to retrieve [from the year 2036] an IBM 5100 computer" as "The 5100 has the ability to easily translate between the old IBM code, APL, and BASIC programming languages"

At least they used a better car than in the films: "According to the posts, the device was installed in the rear of a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, and later moved to a 1987 four-wheel drive truck."

You run into yourself and get asked "what number am I thinking". You say "68" and get beaten to a pulp, thus no coming back.

I find this "if-else" statement to be invalid. it is entirely possible the time machine IS invented by 2050, but you don't have access to it.

or, as some people speculate, the time machine can only go back in time to the date when the machine itself was invented.

or, it is learned that going back in time to give yourself a suggestion will break the space-time continuum, and rather than destroying the universe, you opt to not go talk to yourself.

See ya later boys, I think I'm in love. Oh wait, she's just a tiny ad:
