Hi
My name is Ola and I am SCJP.
On January 2009 I have downloaded assigment for SCJD but never had time to start it.
Now I have decided to continue my certification path and just do this project straight away.

I have read that there is estimation for doing scjd like between 40-100h
I have planned 100h of my spare time in next two months and i hope it will be enough.

I will post as soon is i het into first rouble with my implementation. So I will keep you updated.
Task for today: Read an assigment

regards

Ola

Greetings, Ola. I'd like to welcome you to the JavaRanch family!!!

It will depend on the experience you have, not only with the language, but also how to design applications. Please take a look at the SCJD faq, which has lots of useful information about this certification. In particular, take a look at the topic How long will it take me to complete the assignment.

When you have a doubt, search for the answer on this forum (it's pretty likely that it has already been answered). I think I can tell that around 85% of the things you need to know for this certification can be found here. But always feel free to post your question whenever you feel like!

One final tip: keep things as simple as possible. It is easier than it might look like, trust me.
