Hello,

One month after passing the SCJP I'm starting to do the SCJD.

It would be nice to hear your comment about the best book for the assignment.

I have already the excellent

SCJP Sun Certified Programmer for Java 6 Exam 310-065 by Katherine Sierra and Bert Bates

Now I think to buy

SCJD Exam with J2SE 5, Second Edition (Expert's Voice in Java) (Paperback)
by Terry Camerlengo (Author), Andrew Monkhouse

It's contents seem good and the Amazon reviews ok. What you guys think about this book?

I think I'm not buying Sun Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2: Study Guide (Exam 310-035), Third Edition because it seem it doesn't give me enough new material, because I have one book from them.

If you have some other advises about the SCJD, it would be nice to hear also.

BR,

Mika

Howdy, Mika. I'd like to give you a warm welcome to the JavaRanch family!

Go right ahead. This was also written by my good buddy Andrew, and is certainly the best reference for this certification. I strongly recommend it!

Andrew's book is the best book about doing the SCJD. It helped me a lot during my certification process, which I am still doing, it gives you a great starting point in what to design and how to do it.

Hi!

Thanks for the comments.

Now I ordered the book.

I start today my one month summer vacation and after that I start SCJD.
