I am learning Struts 1.3 and writing a hello world app. I want to submit an html form

<form action="/login" method="post">
<input type="submit">
</form>

and have it handled by

with a struts-config.xml entry:

<action path="/login" type="net.jimserver.loginaction" >
<forward name="success" path="/pages/login.jsp"/>
</action>

this is not working. Any hints as to where I am going wrong?
this approach gives error 404 The requested resource (/login) is not available.

Thanks,
Jim

Hi White

I am a starter too. U'r code looks flawless to me. Just a friendly suggestion

1. Try using struts html tags like <html:form>, <html:submit> instead of normal html tags
2. put input in

<action path="/ABC" type="abc.abc.abc.abc" input="/Login.jsp">

Good Luck

what server are you using? can you go into the admin console of your server and see if your classes are deployed? if so launch your application from the admin server console.

Story like this gets better after being told a few times. Or maybe it's just a tiny ad:
