Alas....This time the prize in physics goes to Forschungszentrum, Juelich...the place where I did my masters thesis...Just amazing to hear that...

I had some plans to start my phd in that same institute (IFF) and I attended a summer school on Spintronics and learnt about the GMR effect and it was quite impressive and I thought that he would receive the Nobel prize in 2005 itself but better than late, he was awarded now.

A big Congratulations to Juelich Research Center!

This prize made the place so popular and of course my university FH-Aachen (Abteilung Juelich) will be famous too.

The prize for chemistry goes to a German. What a great country....it has produced many Nobel Laureates....
