I'm using Tomcat 6.0. Is there a configuration to control what permissions (Linux/Unix) files/directories are given to an expanded war.

For example, I currently get the following when the war gets exploded:
drwxr-xr-x 2 someuser somegroup

I would like it so that the group always gets write permissions too:
drwxrwxr-x 2 someuser somegroup

There are good reasons for this beyond being completely lazy.
Thanks for any help
Paul

Dear Paul,

Start Tomcat with an umask of 002 instead of 022. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umask
