I have implemented a session listener in my webapp, which stores the date time it was created. My webapp's session timeout is set at 30 minutes.

Once in a while I took a peek and noticed that one or two of the session from 10 or more hours ago has yet to be destroyed. It made me wonder whether this is caused by a fault at my (codings) side or the client's (browser) side (maybe he kept his browser open and did nothing, perhaps?). Or am I being paranoid ?

The server will terminate the session only when it detects that there is no activity for more than 30 minutes. It is quite probable that this person clicked a link every 30 mins or so and kept the session alive.
