Suspending/Pausing a MDB's Consumption Programmatically

Is this possible programmatically? Does anyone have any example's of class files in Java? I have been struggling with this for an entire day now

How about having an interceptor for your MDB that throws an exception based on a criteria that can be captured from the DB or wherever.

Claudio,
Some servers provide an API to close down the message listener port. This while suspend/pause the messages until you re-open the port.
