JAX-WS Handler chain execution order?

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hi,

I just wanted to confirm the order handlers are executed in JAX-WS.

http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-02-2007/jw-02-handler.html?page=3

From the above article i see that Logical handlers are executed before protocol handlers for outgoing messages and vica versa for incoming messages.

just want to confirm that the execution order of handlers/handler chains down to the order they are defined within the handler.xml/Wsdl?

Thanks,

Scott

Hi!
Well, coding up a simple example that runs on GlassFish shows that it is as you say. However, I cannot seem to find anything in the JAX-WS 2.1 specification that says anything about giving logical handlers priority on outgoing messages etc - see section 9.3.2.
Best wishes!
