Just curious... Does Java Ranch have any North Americans working in Europe? If so, which country? What is the market like? Was it difficult to deal with visa restrictions?

In my office(Germany), in this building, on my floor, there are 5 Americans working. I am not sure, if they are ranchers or if that figure speaks for anything. In my daughters Kindergarten, there are many American kids too.

About the work permit in Europe, it is easy to obtain, if one can find job. and finding job without native language skills is a challenging task. Best way to land here is to work for firms having operations in both continents and eventually request transfer.
