I have registered Books 7X24, so I can read eBook of SCJP written by K & B. However, they don't provide the CD. Could you please tell me how many mocks it has? Is it very useful for exam preparation? Is it worh buying the book because of a CD?

Thanks, buddies.

Its totally worth buying the book for anything. And if you are talking about free illegal ebooks here, then I'm sorry but this is not allowed here on ranch...

Hello George,

The K&B book is not available for free on Internet legally. That website you registered at is offering an illegal electronic copy of the book.

Please do not use illegally copied material. Buy the book in a bookstore, it's a small price for helping you with your SCJP certification.

Note that we cannot allow posting links to or names of websites which offer illegally copied materials on JavaRanch - do not post such things here.

Sorry Jesper, but in this case you may be wrong. Books 24x7 is a legal subscription based source of viewing books online - similar to Safari. My book is available through Books 24x7, and I know that the K&B SCJP book was available there at some point in the past (I don't know if it is still there).

Regards, Andrew

My suggestion, if you have a copy to the book through 24/7, you might want to spend other money on Whizlabs or Enthuware's exam simluator.

But if the question is whether you should have the K&B book, well, everyone should have the K&B book. The exam simulator is good, but not the best on the market.

I certainly don't support illegal copy. I paid to subsrcibe 7X24 online bookstore which is very popular and 100% legal. However, they don't provide soft copy of CD.
I want to do more mock exams. It seems it is not worth buying a CD only.

my suggestion is that you should go for enthuware as it contains more numbers of test 10+final.covers almost the whole syllabus and the level is approximately the same as that of actual exam but along with it go for examlab too.its free and provides lots of concepts.

avi..
