Hibernate without POJO's

Can we use Hibernate without making POJO's.

Like in spite of getters/setters can we directly deal with instance variables?

You can place annotations on properties instead of getters, if that's what you're interested in, so yes, you can.

However, I'm not how good your application would be if it didn't have any setters or getters in any of your code.
