Hi,

I am thinking of taking up SCBCD 5.0 (CX-310-091). Please suggest me the books I have to read and any other material I have to go through before taking up the exam.

I am torn between OReilly's EJB 3.0 and Manning's EJB3 in action. Let me know the best between the two.

Regards,
Vikas

I don't think there's one better than another, but having read EJB3 In Action I can tell you that this book is very well written.
You'll find links to other references here.

Thanks Christophe. That tilts the balance towards EJB3 in action.

Cheers.

You may also consider reading the specs!

EJB3 in Action + the specs, you'll be ready and confident for the exam for sure

EJB 3 in Action and EJB Specs combination is the best option but if you feel specs are lengthy then you can go for Mikalai Zaikin's Guide.

In EJB 3 in Action book do I need to study all the 16 chapters or the first 11 chapters to get certified?

Thanks,
Anu

I would suggest read whole book but if you want to skip something then read 1 to 12 and 15 chapter complete and then read 13.1,14.1. But don't forget to read spacs or Mikalai`s study guide.

All the best!!!

Hey Vishal,

There is no Head first series book in market on EJB 3.0 (SCBCD 5.0)
