Hello All,

I have submitted my part2 assignment yesterday . Size of the file was 998kb and the website says the max I should upload is 1000KB.. I hope its uploaded properly.. Do the sun guys email any confirmations ?
I only saw a message on the upload screen saying your assignment was uploaded successfully.

I am scheduled to give my part 3 exam tomorrow. The Sun website says 90 minutes but the prometric email says 2 hrs 15 minutes.. How long is the exam and what sort of questions are asked ? As per sun website there will be in all 8 questions.

Any input is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Paren

Hi.

No,Sun will not send you a mail confirmation about the uploaded file but if you have a question you can ask them by mail.

In my case i had 2 hours to answer the part III exam.

The exam questions are about your assignment, you have to support and explain your architecturel decisions.

Good Luck Paren

Parikh,

Did you take Part 3 exam already? Can you please give us a feedback about the exam? Was it oriented on the design you did, or assignment based? I am still confused about what would exactly be in Part 3. Does it need any preparations other than your ideas implemented in the design?

Also does Sun scans (wild thinking, sorry) the assignment by some tools, pick key words and form the questionnaire based on that?

I am totally confused here

As far as I know, part 3 depends on your specific design decisions taken on part 2, question of proving it was you who really did it.

I did part 3 as well, was straight to the design decisions that you might have taken in your part 2.

Too generic questions from Sun, which are not specific to an assignment business statements/wordings, but makes it meaningful to answer it from your the way you designed the assignment.

And this was my biggest question too, whether the exam scans my assignment submission, and pick specific words/design concepts from it, and ask details on it (like if I used firewall, would they ask more about it)... And no... they dont. I think Sun dont touch your submission unless you take your Part 3 exam

To be short, you justify your designs in the exam. Be sure to read, re-read what you did in your assignment & why you did that, and be prepared to justify them by answering the generic questions.

There was no place for tension the moment I read the questions. (I read all questions first). Everything directly related to what I did, and was justifiable.
