I don't have an iPod with me to check, but it's either "The Number Song" by DJ Shadow, or "Mu Getsu" by DJ Krush and Toshinori Kondo.

(By the way, 3 weeks ago I saw DJ Shadow live with Cut Chemist. Kid Koala opened. Damn!)

"Fire on High" by Electric Light Orchestra. At home I mostly still listen to CDs on my stereo though, so there's plenty of listening that's not counted in the iPod total. I really don't know what woudl be #1 though.

To be clear you mean Broken by by Seether featuring Amy Lee, right? That is a good song.

I don't own an iPod but lately I've been listening to a lot of the Silversun Pickups. If you like old school (Gish, Siamese Dream) pumpkins, then you'll like Silversun Pickups (oddly enough initials for both are SP, hmm).

Sync up your iPod with iTunes. One of the columns in the iTunes display is number of listenings. Click on that column to sort by it, and see what comes out on top.

Well, at the top is "Strike 1," which is a 26-second DJ Shadow track that I have scattered all over my playlists.

After that, I have 5 songs tied at the top...
  • "The Number Song" by DJ Shadow
  • "Mu-Getsu" by DJ Krush and Toshinori Kondo
  • "Shave My Head" by Jack Dangers (Loop Finder General)
  • "We Have Explosive (7" Edit)" by The Future Sound of London
  • "Premier's X-Ecution feat. DJ Premier" by The X-Ecutioners

The second movement of Charles Ives's Symphony #1. Don't know how I managed to listen to that one more time than the other movements.
