I don't think so. Its a nice book. It depends on the learner what book he/she should follow.

No you're not following the wrong book. Hanumant Deshmuk's book is a great one! and so is HFSJ... I am using both... Read the book reviews and get to know.

I think in Hanumant Deshmukh's book, the way of organization of topics is pretty good, it helps me to memorize easily, but in Jsp part few topics have not covered in detail(I turned the pages fastly and felt so) , so for servlets i am following Hanumant deshmukh and for jsp and design patterns i am following HFSJ,

You are following a great book.

I also read that book once. But It is not as reading HFSJ since its not facinated as HFSJ.

However reading of this book is not a waste and you can grab lots of things
