Anyone working on this in their backyard?

Anyone working on any projects to "feed the grid" locally?

I'm just starting to do some research on this...

Our electric company will install for free a device that attaches to your water heater. It will shut off the water heater during periods of high usage. There is a $3 monthly credit.

As for me, my roommate turns it on in the morning and I turn it off when I leave for work. That's the only time it is needed except for weekly laundry. This saves me ~$60/month!

Aloha,
Doug
