regarding image insertion in database

Dear all


Can anybody guide me how to insert image file(.gif,.jpeg) into oracle 10g and to retrieve it from oracle 10g using JSP.

Use an Oracle BLOB to insert the image.
Retrieve it again from the DB

Or save the link to the file in the DB and fetch it from a FTP server when needed.
