Doubt regarding Cloud Computing

Hi,
could any body please let me know whether Cloud computing is the advance concept for Distributed computing?

Well, what we used to call distributed computing became Grid computing and now the buzzword is Cloud computing.

Along with the progress in marketing buzzwords there has also been great progress in capability with amazing new stuff being added all the time. For example Google is supporting Java Servlets running "in the cloud."

Personally I use the Amazon S3 storage system for many many megabytes of backup files.
