On a serious note, if you learn Web Services (and a bit theory of SOA) then you can say you know SOA, I think.

No. Using WS is an implementation detail. SOA is an architectural concept that's much wider than that.

So I cant learn XML and say I can do webservices. I cant learn web services and say I can do SOA. So why the hell bother? whats the point?I might as well get back to the work I was doing before I got caught in this mess.

Anyone know of a word for a 'domed roof structure'. It should most likely end with an S.

Did you girl friend insist that you must learn SOA?She can say that with pride to her father?

I know such one case.

No mine just insist I learn how to use SOAP and shower everyday if I hope to get SAX anytime soon.
