JS to work on all Browser

Hi

I have a problem working with js.. The js I code works fine with IE3 and IE4 .. But it fails on firefox and other versions of IE.. How
can I make JS work on all browsers.. Should I code for each browser differently..

IE3 and IE4? What in the world are you coding for browsers that have a .0000001% marketshare and are 12+ years old?
