This is the code in jsp I am trying to understand

1 <%@ page import="ca.rogers.evolution.presentation.content.model.CommonImage"%>
Where does the page come from ? It looks "ca.rogers.evolution.presentation.content.model.CommonImage" is an image. But whats the path for this image ? Do we not need path for image to be imported ?

2 uri="rogers-content.tld" , how can I locate this uri ? I mean where shall I start to look for this uri ?

thanks

page is directive in jsp and import is it's attribute. We use this when we wish to import any java class in jsp page. CommonImage is not an image, it's the name of the class which is being imported from package ca.rogers.evolution.presentation.content.model.

taglib is another jsp directive and uri is it's attribute. With uri you can mention the exact path of the tld file or you can mention name the name here and mention it's location in deployment descriptor (web.xml) file.

"ca.rogers.evolution.presentation.content.model.CommonImage" , in order for this class to be imported in the jsp, it has to be on the server where this jsp is located, ribght ? Is there a specific directory, where this class has to be ? The package name does not specify what directory is it located into ? Is there a default directory, where all the classes are loaded ?

For exact location of where uri is, do I need to look in the deployment descriptor ? Whet if I dont have access to the server ? Can I check it any other way ? I want to check what these tags do and what are the other tags available.

Sounds like you need a good book or tutorial on JSP. A forum is not the place to learn a technology from scratch.
